I just upgraded from 3.94 to 5.1, and I' m getting error messages. I can't check the log, because it says the host won't allow it. When I try to change the host settings, I get: Error Error: Host Settings is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.formatVersion(Version version, String fieldformat, Int32 fieldCount, String delimiterCharacter) at DotNetNuke.Services.Upgrade.Upgrade.UpgradeIndicator(Version Version, String PackageType, String PackageName, String Culture, Boolean IsLocal, Boolean IsSecureConnection) at DotNetNuke.Services.Upgrade.Upgrade.UpgradeIndicator(Version Version, Boolean IsLocal, Boolean IsSecureConnection) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Host.HostSettings.BindData() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Host.HostSettings.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Please help.

Thanks,
Steven

Please log the error into the public issue tracker (2nd from top) at support.dotnetnuke.com

As a workaround, compare content of your HostSettings Datebase table with a blank install.
Make sure, there is a record

SettingName SettingValue SettingIsSecure

CheckUpgrade Y 0

I'm seeing the same issue after an upgrade from 5.0.1 to 5.1.0. I will log the error if it's not there already.

I've added this to the Gemini issue tracker as DNNP-10279 UpgradeIndicator error after upgrade from 5.0.1 to 5.1.0
