I am running a DDN 04.09.02 for an intra-net site using AD for authentication.  Everything works good with the auto-login for users on the domain.  We would like to expand this to our remote sites that have machines not on our domain, but still able to access our network through a VPN tunnel.  Is there a way to do an auto-login for these machines as well?  You can hit the site and log in without issue when you supply your domain\username and password, but when deployed we would want these machines to auto-login without supplying this information like it does for machines on the domain.  I see there is an auto-login IP address but I'm not sure how you tie an IP address to a user, or if this is even possible. Any help with this is appreciated.
Thanks,
---Jeff

If they're not on the domain then I don't think so. Even through VPN the information that's going to be passed to the server still comes from the client computer (the credentials they're logged onto their computer with). I know if I VPN with my work laptop I get logged on automatically but if I do from my home computer I don't. Also there's all of the different VPN software to contend with. I don't know much about it but I wouldn't be surprised if they all connected in their own special way and coding for that would be a nightmare.

Thanks Mike,

At least now I've been able to convince management here that if the non-domain users need to type in their usernames and passwords that it's not the end of the world.

Regards,

---Jeff
