Hi,

I need to upgrade a DNN application to the latest stable DNN version(5.0.0).
Current application version is 4.09.03. Kindly let me know the process for it.

I have tried to upgrade using 5.0.0 upgrade package but that fails.

Thanks,
Pankaj

latest completely stable version is 4.9.4, latest stable 5.x version is 5.1.0. There are some minor issues with upgrading, we are working hard to creating a 5.1.1. version which should be available quite soon

I also suggest upgrading to DNN 4.9.4 - upgrade is quite easy:

  • backup your files and database
  • download upgrade package
  • unzip hierarchically into your DNN installation folder, overwriting existing files
  • browse to your site (if you set "autoupgrade" to false in your web.config, browse /install/install.aspx?mode=upgrade)

done.
