Hello all,  I frankly don't know if I'm in the right place or not but I got my last questions answered so here goes:

I'm trying to install the store module and set it up.  I have dnn for dummies which will walk me through the steps in the correct order but have encountered an error as follows:

Store settings are not defined.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Store.WebControls.CategoryMenu.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I am using MS  Visual Web Developer 2008 and rebuilt the web site to see if that would take care of the problem and came up with this error on the build which I suspect has something to to with the above error:

     Error 3 Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Store.WebControls.AddressEdit'. C:\JohnBuchanMusic\DesktopModules\Store\AddressEdit.ascx 3

Does anyone have any idea of what I should do to solve the problem.  I must have a store for this site and would very much appreciate any help I could get.

Thanks in advance,

Jim

Hi Jim,

You have to define the Store settings with the Store Admin module BEFORE being able to use other Store module!

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.
