How can I increase the time that a user can be idle before they get logged out?  I logged in as the portal host and under Host > Host Setting >> Advanced Settings >> Other settigns I increased the "User Online Time" from 60 minutes to 240 minutes, but this did not help.  Am I looking in the wrong area?  Does this need to be done on the IIS server?  Please help.

It's in web.config in the <forms> element under <authentication>.

If necessary open web.config with a text editor and do a search for timeout.

[I think ] the users online time is to do with the Users Online functionality, which by default is turned off. That's related to showing on the screen the user names of the people that are logged in. That's separate from who is REALLY logged in and how long they are logged in for.
