Hi,

I just installed the forum which seem to be working nicely. However there's one detail ruining my life and that's the time zone issue. No matter what I do I cannot get my local time settings to be taken into account so if I post a message now it will say that the message was posted 9 hours ago since the server is in the US and I'm in Europe. How can I solve this ?

Thanks very much in advance for your help

Leif

I'm sorry to insist on this one but by the time my post was moderated it disappeared to the second page without a reply.

I just wanted to know whether it's possible to have my local time (europe) displayed when a post is made instead of the server time (us).

Thanks in advance

Leif

PS I was unmoderated over at asp.net forums and would appreciate the same status here

No offense to you at all leiner, but your status on asp.net has nothing to do with your status here. Also, your post being on a second page is all based on your settings and for me it is not the case (25 threads/page).

This item has been discussed in this very forum several times. It is all a matter of what your portal settings have, what you set in General settings of this module and what the timezone is selected in your profile.

Thanks for your reply Crispy,

No matter what I do the server time is still displayed.

The portal settings are set to local time,
The forum settings are set to local time,
The user profile settings are set to local time

and still the server time is displayed when a message is posted.

Anyone managed to set time to local using the Core forum module ?

Thanks in advance for your help

Leif

Is this a dnn 3 or 4 install?

Also, go to your profile here on dotnetnuke.com (not forum profile, site profile) and change the timezone selection. You should see an immediate change on this module.(I just tested to verify)
