This is because the .local TLD is not valid, despite what Microsoft suggests.  :)

This must be a valid internet mail address, with a legitimate TLD.  But the check for the installer could be handled better as well.  Might even be a legitimate request to put in Gemini.

Hi Sebastien,

We're having the same problem and we're using a valid TLD (.org).  Where do we go to edit the email regex in 7.x?  Have poked around but can't seem to find it in user settings ...

sybra, please check Host email address in Host Settings (first tab), which is set by Default to an invalid address during install.

Cheers from Germany,

Hi Sebastien, thanks for the response ... we're running an upgrade, the email address that's presently there is a valid one.  Is there a way to modify the regex for it?  If so where can that be edited?
