1) What directory is the default web site in IIS pointing to.  If it is not pointing to your the direcotry of your DotnetNuke install that that could be part of the issue?

2) Did you setup a VD for the site to run under in IIS under the default directory, if that is the case then the VD should point to the DNN directory?

3) Can you post your connection string here (without PWD of course), I never had an issue connecting to SQL Server 2005 database?

4) Are you just attaching to the mdb files in the App_Data directory or did you create an empty SQL database in SQL Management Studio to use for your DNN install?

Note: If you hit the site in IIS using http://localhost locally then you would use http://192.168.0.203/ not http://192.168.0.203/DotNetNuke/Default.aspx.  If you have a VD on one then you would need it when accessing it on both (locally and remotely).

1.  wwwroot.

2.  I did not setup VD, because its located at root.

3.  I will tonight when i get home.

4.  I am not attaching the supplied database, i created one in SQL Management Studio, because when it goes live, i will upload it to my host.  I cannot use a mdf file on my host.

But, since you said that, it makes me believe now that when using VWD it's actually grabbing that file for the install and not the SQL one, even though i created the connection string, connected fine, and did the install.  I didn't actually check it.  I will do that tonight also.

Thanks!
