Well, it looks like that's not the problem.  I realized that we are running our impersonation user under a user belonging to the AD group of Domain Admins.  Could this be a security problem that is forcing each of our users to be of that group before allowing the impersonation to work?

Nope, I run using impersonation with a user that isn't an admin in any group. It's just a general user account.

Ok, well we've been running ours using an impersonation account that had domain admin permissions.  I tried using a normal general account but the site crashed because of a lack of permissions somewhere in the database I think.  So, generally, besides giving the impersonation account full control to the actual website, what other permissions do you suggest that he have?

You'll also need to give that user permissions to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\V2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files. That's the location (or should be) where the site is built to run from when it's compiled by .NET.

Also, what OS is your server running?

Yes, I did that too.  Actually, I just gave it permissions to the entire folder.  But, I'm receiving an error that says that it's not recognizing one of the classes in my database.  Is there somewhere else that I need permissions.  Also, I tried to use an account that was an administrator of the server that the website is on.  That got me past the recognizing-classes problem, but I never got the user's roles to sync correctly (even with manual login).  I'm not sure if this could be me not letting active directory have enough time to replicate.  But, what could my missing permissions be that would not let it recognize this class?

I'm running windows xp on a windows 2003 server.

(Okay, so I plan to check that folder again since apparently the user i added seems to have disappeared.  I did delete the permissiosn for that user from the website so maybe that did something.   But i'm very sure that I added the user there, and assuming that I did, what else do you think might be the problem?)
