Hi Nicholas,

I think that is not true.Take this forum as an example. I am writing somethings on this control as an answer to you.And the URL I see now is:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/ctl/PostEdit/forumid/108/postid/329105/action/reply/mid/2108/Default.aspx

All the parameters are stored in that link thats all. I think in postid=329105  parameter. Forexample if I push the back button after submit the content to server and then push the IE's back button, I can't  see the content of this RichTextEditor. It would be lost. But in an usual .NET application, if you don't touch the default settings, when you push the back button of IE, after submitting, you can easily see the content of this RichTextEditor.

My complaint is valid also for this forum Nicholas. I think this is just because of  performance isssues. DNN don't want to strore view_state by default. But there should be a solution for me! I don't want high performance right now! I need to preserve view_state. But How?

I really don't know. That should have not  been  so hard and boring. Life with DNN only  sometimes really good. The full control over the framework is not really simple.

I have no third party JS in my application? Should  the solution of such a problem  so hard? I can't believe DNN!

Understanded your question finally, losting value in text field when "Go back" in browser is NOT a view state issue.  When you click the go back button , browser just find a record in history and resend it again, so this is nothing raltaed to ASP.NET and  DNN. your browser should be responsiable to store the value input in the control.
