Hello All,

I am experiencing the same situation with the Advance Calendar module. It works on one portal but has become corrupted on another in teh same instalation of DNN. If I logon and view the page as the admin it is fine but as a user it crashes DNN. I am hosted on Godaddy so sometimes it takes a while for the problem to be resolved and my site to come back up.

The portal it works in has no events. I am going to try to delete and recreate the instance of the calendar to see if that helps. Any other sugestions are welcomed. I had a lot of events and would hate to think this problem will repeat itself.

Thanks

What version of the Events calendar is this an issue with?  Does 3.0.2 have this problem or only the betas?

That's interesting, since the Events module is entirely written using VB.NET (so is DNN).  VB .NET is a "garbage collected" language...meaning memory is automatically  recovered as objects are de-referenced...

Actually, according to the following Microsoft KB article, there is a memory-collection issue when frequently using the System.Net.WebRequest method:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/831138/en-us

We are also having "Out Of Memory" issues with the "W3wp.exe" process in conjunction with DNN.  We see about 5 to 10 exceptions a day on a DNN installation with light traffic (between 30 to 150 users a day).  I do not know how the issue manifests itself for the user and have not (yet) attempted to identify a means to reproduce the exception -- I know it is happening simply from reviewing the server logs.  We are running DNN 4.0.2 (with the AVCalendar module, if that helps).

I'm using the 4.3.1 module and I am experiencing identical problems described here (when logged out of DNN). I notice the knowledge base article quoted is only in relation to .NET 1.1, isn't the calendar for this version in .Net 2?

Also the problem stops if you allow all users to edit the page (not a desirable scenario!).

Cheers
