Hi, the editor on the fckedit.net site is now working with opera 9 (the new beta) - im reading in the faq's that its currently supported in the 2.2 version & its just a case of turning it on like this.. var oFCKeditor = new FCKeditor( 'FCKeditor1' ) ; oFCKeditor.BasePath = "/fckeditor/" ; oFCKeditor.EnableOpera = true ; Where would I go about putting this to get it working with DNN? I'm guessing it needs to be done in the server code when you output it into the page - or can I just edit one of the js files. Thanks Anthony

I cannot say anything about the editor and opera because I never used opera, but if you want to use this editor on your DNN, you only have to install this provider.

There is a new release almost ready, but while it comes, you can download the previous version (Using FCKEditor 2.2) from http://dnn.tiendaboliviana.com

After the first DNN release of the FCKEditor provider, file downloads will be moved to the project page on this site.

Hi,

I'm using your 2.2 release now but this does not work in opera. By default opera support is not enabled.

I've tried editing the javascript to enable it, but it looks like it needs enabling when you initialize the object details are here: http://wiki.fckeditor.net/FAQ#opera

ok. following the page you sent. You must modify the file:

Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\DSFCKEditorProvider\Custom\fckconfig.js

by adding the following line:

oFCKeditor.EnableOpera = true ;

after the basepath line(oFCKeditor.BasePath    =...)

I don't use opera, so I don't know if it really works. Please post your results here for everyone to know.

REMEMBER: Clear your browser cache after modifying that file.

ok, look like the opera support is not included in your package.

The download on the fck site is still showing 2.2 but its different to your 2.2 - so maybe its a development version.

Im going to see what happens if I just upload the new version over the top - have you changed anything in the /editor/ dir to get it to work on dnn or is that just the standard editor?
