Hi

I've been looking at different guides on making my .net site more secure.  It was suggested i set requireSSL="true" in the web.config forms tag.  I tried this but it messes with login and i get the dnn error page.

Just wondered if this is something that would improve my security, and if so how could i get it to work?

Simon

Making a site more secure can mean many things.

SSL certificates encrypt the data send between the client (browser) and the server, but before you can configure DNN to take advantage of SSL, you need to purchase and install a certificate on the server.

Yes, i have an SSL certificate and i have enabled SSL on the pages that need it.  My question was more concerning the web.config form tag.

Basically the requireSSL tag requires that form authentication cookies be sent with ssl.  Which to me sounds like a nice and secure thing.  I was trying to find out if anyone knew what the pros/cons of this are and why it won't work in dnn (i set it to true and the page doesn't load, just blank page)?
