Running Windows Server 2008, Sql Server 2008 Standard.

Could not get version 05.01.04 working. After installing I got "DotNetNuke.config" not found.

Found it in the install folder (DotNetNuke.Install.Config). Copied it to the root, renamed it to DotNetNuke.config, edited it and added SuperUser account, email, Admin account, email.

Then got the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

Tried at least 5 complete reinstalls. Same results.

Installed 05.01.03. No problems.

it should work the same installing 5.1.4, if you make sure, file system permissions are properly set.

Hi, Sebastian.

I did, trust me. I even went so far as to replace permission entries on all child objects (Permissions/Advanced/checkbox).

This isn't the first time I've installed DNN from scratch, but it is the first time I idownloaded and nstalled v 5.1.4.

Unless 5.1.3 installs differently there's something wrong with the 5.1.4 installer or the installer that I downloaded is a bad version (I downloaded it yesterday).

Mike
