to quote the post:

Put the function below into your ForumUtils.vb file.  You will need to adjust all places email url's are generated and pass them throught his function.  This will be in Forum_PostModerate.ascx.vb, Forum_PostEdit.ascx.vb.

That info along w/ the code in that post, you will see it says where to implement this. All the function does is change the link in the email. (if items are passed into it) so when FURLS are off the links are useable.

Hi:

Thanks for the reply.

I noticed in the Forum_PostModerate.ascx.vb, the existence of _mailURL and _nextURL.

And usually after we set the _mailURL, we are calling a method ApprovePost which takes as input the _mailURL, so would it be enough in this page to just send the _mailURL through the FullURL method? Or are there any other instances that I couldn't see?

In the second page, I only noticed the email issues in:

  • Line 703: SendForumMail(_newPostID, Utils.FullURL(url), _emailType, "Moderated Post")
  • Line 721: SendForumMail(_newPostID, Utils.FullURL(url), _emailType, "Unmoderated Post")

Moreover, I am still stuck with the issue of deleting posts, once a post is deleted, the user's post number is not decremented.

Thanks a lot for your huge support.

Regards
