John -

I encountered that error also and have already logged it in the Gemini bug tracker. The same error is found in the 05.02.01.SqlDataProvider script for all packages - install, source, upgrade.

You will need to modify (note yellow highlighted additions below) the 05.02.01.SqlDataProvider script prior to accessing the site and triggering the upgrade as follows:

UPDATE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Lists SET SystemList = 'True' WHERE ListName = 'DataType'

Since the install attempt failed, be sure to first delete the files and database used for the previous attempt before unzipping the package and making the above change.

 @Herb,

As mentioned previously I have added a value to  the UpgradeConnectionString but this presented me with the error which I described in my previous posting. Have you got any luck trying to proceed?

Thanks in advance.

Marc

previous... Well, here and  back aggain... All day i´ve tried to figure it out, tried couple of roolbacks but it looks is creating errors with current modules also and it will not let you to install some new important ones either. There is no way to fix this, at least not for me . I´ve checked the user db permissions and nothing... same error.

I´ve talked to my hosting provider and they say:

Unfortunately we do not offer individual website programming, website design,
or consulting services and we must prioritize our technical support on system/server issues that affect all our customers.
(Wich i consider fair enought.)

I´m out of resources, how can this be fixed!? I can´t believe that after more then half a year of no errors, sudenly the dnn staff thinks to change ¨permissions rules¨ and they broke almost everything.  Until this release it will become stable i will rollback to the previous one.

@Marc -

I have NO FIX, yet! The best option I have is to rollback to the previous version.

Herb

Has anyone else had the same experience within a shared hosting environment? Have you come up with a fix? What's the solution?

Thanks in advance,
Herb

@Herb,
Rolling back is exactly what I have done. Hopefully my hosting provider will provide me with a solution but I believe it would be better if the DNN corporation would adress the "defensive coding".
