I am trying to get the "Remember Me" feature working using the AD provider with Forms Authentication.  I've got the following in my web.config:

It seems like my login is being remembered.  I can close my browser and reopen it, go to the webpage and I'm still logged in.  However, when I come in the next day and reopen the browser my login has been forgotten.  I haven't tested it, closed the browser, and then gone out at the end of day - which I should to be clear as to when this happens.

I think that I'm just not understanding what these 2 settings are, but my understanding is that "PersistentCookieTimeout" is for the "Remember Me" feature and the ".DOTNETNUKE" cookie is the length of time a user remains authenticated within a single session.  Am I terribly mistaken about this understanding or is something else gone awry here?

I'm using DNN 5.2.1 with the 5.0.2 AD Provider on Server 2008 R2 Std (this is only 64-bit) & SQL Server 2008 Standard.

I guess the solution is in your browser settings.

I've never looked at trying to have it remember the password. I know with automatic logins the session cookie lasts about an hour but it's a random value that can't be set.
