Unless someone else has an idea ? Has anyone actually managed a success upgraded of a  4.x site to 5.x ?

Sorry for the comments about DNN but my frustration levels are though the roof. I understand everyone is really trying to help and I appreciate it. I guess these issues are the price you pay for open source.

Thanks again

Chris

I loaded my live 4.9.5 site back to my dev environment and did an upgrade to it last week.  (Needed to test for any issues with the modules or skins before my host upgrade the live site.)  It took two attempts, the first one failed because of some miss set directory permissions.  Second attempt went smooth as silk.  All my skins worked and all my modules were fine.  So yes, it can be done.  I do however understand the frustrations.  CMS systems in general are complex animals and can be a real pain to deal with.

Did you fully test out the 5.2.1 site before you changed the database?
