I used DNN many many years ago and it was great - but my experiences over the last 2 months - soince sellig a client on using it for their intranet - has been dismal.  It seems that new releases are made available for the core application, modules, etc with absolutely no accompanying documentation.  Am I missing something here?  I've been searching DNN and the web for almost 17 hours straight for any hint of documentation on setting up Active Directory.  All I'm finding are documents referencing older versions of AD security and DNN for that matter.

I am using the latest DNN - v5.02.01 with Authentication System DNN_ActiveDirectoryAuthentication 5.0.2

Can someone please throw me a bone.  Another 2 days and I'll be forced to scrap DNN and hire a sub contractor to implement MOSS, which is certainly not in my best interest.

THANK YOU!!!

Ok, I've downloaded the pdf, but the document doesn't match up with what I'm seeing.  Perhaps I'm not in the right place.  Here are some more details... (Thank you, BTW, for the speedy reply, Mike)

I am using DNN Community 05.02.01

The AD Provider that came with it is version 05.00.02

Document says: "Log in as Admin"...."Select Authentication from Admin menu items"

There is no such item under admin.  The best I could come up with was to go to Extensions/Authentication System and click the pencil icon next to DNN_ActiveDirectoryAuthentication.  It brings me in to a UI that looks similar to the one in the documentation for v. 05.00.02, but not exactly the same.

Please, what am I missing here?  I am trying to follow the documentation but it does not match up with my install - but I am using the version for which the document is named.

Can't figure out how to post a screenshot for you so I'll just descibe what I see, immediately after enabling the "Available Extension" that is the AD Provider, when I go to Edit Extension:

Enabled checkbox, Hide Login Control checkbox, Sych Role checkbox, Do not automatically create users checkbox,.....

And then, under the last item, Auto-Login IP Address textbox, I have an error message "An error has occured."  Error: is currently unavailable.

Hope this helps...

Ooops, you found an error in the documentation that I missed when I was updating it for the 05.00.02 release. I'll try to get that fixed and uploaded this week.

The error you're getting.... are you getting this as soon as you go the settings or after you click submit? If it's as soon as you go to the page is there anything populating the Provider or Authentication Type combo boxes?
