I put up a new vanilla site at www.digitalsharepoint.com which is hosted by Webhost4life and I notice it is restarting constantly. I had schedule mode set to timer, module caching set to memory, and caching set to heavy.  There is nothing on this site though and if I click around for a minute I will notice a big delay as the app restarts.  I reset the setting back to default, request mode, file based caching, etc.  Same result though.  I asked webhost4life to move me into a new app pool.  They say I am now in an App pool with only 2 other sites and a very unloaded pool.  The problem is still happening though.  Any ideas?

Justin,

Are you on their new server already?  Was your site migrated from their old server to the new server?

I have been using their services for 2 years.  Initially, the services were fine.  I started to have problem 6~8 months back.  They are in the middle of transitioning to a new server platform, to a different location.

I have two separate account with them, both use DNN.  Both of my sites have problem migrating to their new server.

I ended up installing a fresh copy of DNN from their control panel and follow the proceduree step-by-step.. yet, the new installed DNN failed to launch.  I contacted their tech support numerous times and got the run around...  as of now, my sites are still not working

It's quite clear their new platform group knows nothing about DNN. After telling them what the problem was they insist you can “test” the migrated sites using an alternate URL. They don’t understand the concept of portal aliases and what DNN does when you attempt to access it w/o using them My hope is that as the number of failed migrations mount they will educate themselves otherwise I expect them to lose 100 if not 1000s of DNN customers. Here is their latest response… Hello James, When we tried to access the DotNet nuke application through account URL http://************.webhost4life.com/dotnetnuke/ its redirecting to http://hall-enterprises.com/, its loading fine. We are able to access the image “http:// ://************.webhost4life.com/dotnetnuke/IMG_2812.JPG . If the issue persists, please let us the exact issue you are experiencing and the steps to replicate the issue so that we can investigate further.
