I have this error on my site as well. The problem is there are two \Cache\Modules folders, one in _Default and one in 0. If I delete the Cache directory under 0 it is recreated. If I delete the one under _Default it complains the Cache folder isn't there. So I recreated it, but it doesn't seem to mind if teh Modules folder is there.

Just got this error again though. It only seems to happen once a day, even though the PurgeModuleCache scheduled item runs many times a day.

The one under my Default did not have a "Modules" folder - only a Cache - I created it manual now too. Yes, I get no errors for ages and then suddenly tons for a while (my scheduler is running that task every minute or hour (see other post) - not sure what it should be

Hi Everyone,

I noticed this as well. I restored my live website to my localhost machine and noticed that these folders are actually in the root of my C drive instead in the portals folder. The location of my DNN installation is C:\DotNetNuke\Restore and the folders I found in my hard drive were C:\Cache\Modules

I sure hope this is repaired in the next upgrade (which hopefully is not too long away).

Marc, thanks for pointing that out. I also found that empty folders had been created at C:\Cache\Modules with the same timestamp as when I upgraded a test site on the C drive from DNN 5.1.4 to 5.2.1.
