it is very difficult without any knowledge about your environment and configuration.

Easiest option to install DNN should be using MS web platform installer (see www.microsoft.com/web)

I have the MS web platform installer. i should have gave some stats in the first post sorry. I am using the community version, OS is Win XP pro, my server is through GoDaddy.com. i can not get the site to post to the url, and get an error when I try it as follows:

Unauthorized Access Error

Error Details

File d:\hosting\nipaadmin\Portals\_default\\Logs\LogFailures.xml.resources
Error   Access to the path 'd:\hosting\nipaadmin\Portals\_default\Logs\LogFailures.xml.resources' is denied. The Windows User Account listed below must have Read/Write Privileges to this path.

it was so long ago i can not remember what the guy said to do to link everything together, and i am not very web builder smart. i have some experience with fire fox, and ms publisher but that is about it for me. once i can get the site going the admin part is a no brainer, that is why i liked this product. any help you could give would be great. and thank you.
