I'm trying to upgrade from 4.9.4 to 5.2.2 ... I did upgrade to Net 3.5 and SQL 2005

The error is actually misleading but... I bet you copied the 5.2.2 upgrade package from another machine or device?

Try the solution found on this post and let us know if it solves the problem:

I downloaded the package directly from the DotNetNuke.com site and unzipped the upgrade package onto the old directory.

I've tried unzipping this package 3 times into different directories and right clicking on the zip file never brings up a unblock button.

 John, right click and choose properties, then look for the Unlock button
