've setup my DNN site and have added public content without any problem. My public pages are set for "All Users" to view and the modules are set to inherit the page settings. When I browse anonymously life is good. I login as Admin and I can see all content and edit without a problem. I registered a "test" user and it was added to the "Registered User" group. I set one page for only the "Registred User" and Admin to view. The "All Users" cannot see this page as expected. The admin can still see this page. When I login as the "test" user i can see the page but not the modules on this or any of the modules on the other pages. The one exception to this is that on some pages I can see the title text for the Text/HTML module where it has been added but not the body text or forums or blogs or media content. Once again all of the modules are inheriting the page settings. Any help is much appreciated!

I wonder if this could be a directory permission issue? I installed the modules after the initial DNN installation. What should the file permissions be on all files in the DNN diretory, 755? Thanks

I think I have resolved the problem by creating a new "test" account and everything works as expected however I'm still not sure why the other account was unable to access the modules when both accounts are set up identically. The original test account was created before installing all of the modules, I wonder if that had anything to do with it. I'll mark resolved.
