Roger,

That makes perfect sense.  It should use your profile preferences for local.  Here is what I hacve:

  • Hosting Server - US (Webhost4life)
  • My OS - Canada
  • The Portal Default - English (United States)
  • User - English (United States) (Portal Amdinistrator)
  • Browser - en-CA for IE8 and en-US for Firefox.

Cheers

So what I would expect is that you get mm/dd/yy when logged in, dd/mm/yy  when logged out in IE8 and mm/dd/yy in when logged out in Firefox. I suspect the date format will only change if you close the browser, and re-open.

Assuming this doesn't solve the problem, ping me an email at webmaster at the domain in my profile, and we'll talk offline.

Roger

I think that there was some confusion as to user and which browser I was using.  I will work with the user who was complaining about it to figure it out.  Now it seems to be consistent, which I was sure wasn't working right.

Thanks for the sanity check.  If I find anything else, I will let you know.

Cheers
