Hello,

It has been a few years since working with the events module in detail, and I really like what I see in the latest versions!    Very nice!

I would like to use this module in my current project, but I have a some unique requirements for signups to some events.  I am looking at making a custom signup  process, with the Indoo Grid Module, reading the events module tables, and then inserting a signup record  in the events signups table from this process (as well as other table updates I need to do).

With the insert of a signup record in the module's table, can I also trigger the confirmation email send in a similar manner as when you sign up through the events module itself?   If so, what would i need to do to trigger this email?    I would love to keep this all in one place if possible.

Thank you very much!
Terence

Hi Terence,

Welcome back!! Currently the emails are not 'triggered' by database activity, but are directly sent via the code. I guess that in theory we could open up elements of the code to make them publicly callable, I'd have to think about how we need to do that.

Cheers
Roger

Roger,
Thank you very much for the quick reply.   I can  insert the email send in my process (I was looking for short cuts).
