Hello,

Hope someone can help me:

I have installed successfully DNN 5.2.1 ( std install on port 80) and would like to change the default port to 82.

I changed IIS 6 config, added httpalias , modify the web.config file with <add key="UsePortNumber" value="true" /> --> .

Now when I access the default pade, it is OK , but when I click on login or whatever other choice I get a message error .

Is it a DNN 5.2.1 issue corrected with 5.2.2 or 5.2.3 ?

Is there a specific process to have a DNN installation or a different port ?

Thanks in advance

Regards

I just did a quick n' dirty W2K3/IIS 6/SQL Express install of 5.2.1 using Auto installation. Site was setup as Web Site not Virtual Directory in IIS 6.

I browsed to http://localhost/websitename installation ran without error logged in as Host and Admin.

 I dumped the cache and the cookies and then closed the browser.

Right clicked on the web site changed the port from 80 to 82.

I changed the web.config like this:

    <!-- set UsePortNumber to true to preserve the port number if you're using a port number other than 80 (the standard)-->
    <add key="UsePortNumber" value="true" />

 I then restarted IIS Admin hit the URL I was previously on and logged in as Host and Admin in 2 differnt browsers (Chrome and FF 3.5.8) without issue.

Where did you change "httpalias" and what did you change it to?

Hi,

I changed it in site settings and added domain:82.

Still no luck accessing other tabs than default. When I click http://localhost:82  it works but when clicking on login, it goes to URL  without the specific port and go back to default 80

Please help
