Bill,

Another question for you... as I work through the tutorial in this book (Professional DotNetNuke Module Programming) it directed me to download Visual Studio 2005 express.  I've looked in many places and can't find a location for this download.  I downloaded Visual Studio Express 2008 becaue I figured it would just be an upgraded version.  It also directed me to download a DotNetNuke Compiled Module template (it was a .vsi file).  I downloaded and installed successfully.

When I open up Visual Studio and click on the DNN Compiled Module Template it flashes a message that says "Requires Visual Studio 2005 and the Web Application Project extension" ... obviously my version is wrong.  When I click "OK" just to see what happens it gives me an error "The project cannot be opened and is not supported by this installation".

Looks like I need Visual Studio 2005.  Do you know of anywhere to get it or know a way to get around this bump in the road?

Thanks again!

Regards,

Clint

I strongly suggest that you download the latest version of the DNN Template rather than installing an old version that is compatible with Visual Studio 2005 since the recent versions of DotNetNuke no longer support VisualStudio 2005. you can get the templates from http://dotnetnuke.codeplex.com/releas... also use the latest version of DotNetNuke rather than the version used in the book.
