Hello, I am new to DNN and am trying to upgrade from 5.2.3 to 5.3.0 but everytime I run the upgrade when I try to access my installation I get:

I need to upgrade because the 5.2.3 version is not able to install modules from manifest which I am needing to do.

If anyone has any ideas on how to solve this problem I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

Have you checked your permissions? What version IIS/Windows are you running this on?

I am running on Windows 7, IIS 7.5. Do you mean the folder permissions? The NETWORK SERVICE user still has the correct permissions. 5.2.3 was working, but when I put the upgrade package over it I get that error.

mike,

I would try setting the permissions up correctly for IIS 7.5 before trying anything else. NETWORK SERVICE should NOT be used on IIS 7.5, Rather AppPool Identity should be used. You can read more about that here.

Hmm, That's the first time I heard that, Thanks! I've removed the Network Service permission, and checked the DefaultAppPool user, it was already configured for full control. I am still receiving the same error though.
