I would like the possibility to show the visitors the latest post in the forum, on my start page. I don't think this is possible in the existing version of the forum, if it is, I really would like to know how to set it up.

Using the link in my signature you can download the What's New Module. This is the bottom footer of the forum but allows you to place it on any page on your site. There are some bugs because the way the forum itself renders What's New.
