Core Team,

I already posted this elsewhere; thought it'd be better posted on its own thread. I can observe an error about the "Users and Roles" module in DNN5.3.1. Here's the steps:

1- Login as an Admin or Host
2- Add a "Users and Roles" module to a page. (Now you'll see a control titled "My Profile" and another one titled "My Inbox" instead of the "Users and Roles" module controls)
3 (optional)- Logout. (Now you'll see the three controls of "Users and Roles", ie, "User Registration", "User Accounts" and "Security Roles" that were supposed to appear in step 2.)

Question, after you log out, does this give all users access to see the "User Accounts?"

If you log back in, do you then get what you expected?

Mitchel,

Yes, after log out, all users can see the "User Accounts" control.

When logged back in, the error persists. DNN5.3.1 always redirects to the User Profile page (or whatever page is set as the user profile in the site settings) when logged in.

I'm surprised that nobody mentions this error in the forums, cause I tested it both on my local computer and on a new DNN5.3.1 installation on 3essentials; both with the same result.

Same result here on my localhost test box. One thing not mentioned previously is that the module is flagged "Premium". In order to place the module on a page, I had to assign it to a portal. Other than that, it behaves exactly the same way for  me. Just thought I'd mention it...

Exactly Steve. I mentioned that the module is flagged premium in another thread, but forgot to mention it here.
