Hi all,
I had developed a module for integrate all in one SQL Server Reports & Fusion Charts feature, but I have some errors.

In SQL Server Reporting, I had a ReportViewer control in my ascx, include in my reference the two library (Common & Webforms) of Microsoft Reporting and then create a  rdlc file for use it in local mode and not with Reporting Services. When I tried it the module got in error, if I remove the include directive of Microsoft reporting and the report viewer control the module work.
The code is there:

ASCX:
<%@ Register Assembly="Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms, Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a" Namespace="Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms" TagPrefix="rsweb" %>
<rsweb:ReportViewer ID="ReportViewer1" runat="server"></rsweb:ReportViewer>

Code behind:
string reportPath = "http://" + PortalAlias.HTTPAlias + "/portals/" + PortalId + "/Reports/Report.rdlc";
var rds = new ReportDataSource("ReportTable", dsReport);

ReportViewer1.ProcessingMode = ProcessingMode.Local;
ReportViewer1.LocalReport.ReportPath = reportPath;
ReportViewer1.LocalReport.DataSources.Clear();
ReportViewer1.LocalReport.DataSources.Add(rds);
ReportViewer1.LocalReport.Refresh();

In FusionCharts I have no problem with the code or the ascx, but when I tried to render the chart, the area is blank, but the html response is correct, any idea about no rendering?

Thanks for all help.

Best regarding,
Simone Sanfilippo

For us to be able to help, we will need to know what the error message was that you were getting.

Hi,
the problem is in the import directive of Microsoft Report Viewer, because without this and the report viewer the page work, whit this the page going in error without processing the page load of ascx relative. I think that there is an incompatible issue, but i cannot sure in this.

I tried a demo module found on snowcovered, and got same error.

I copy locally all Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms and Microsoft.ReportViewer.Common, not add the assembly in web.config, if use the httphandlers and buildprovider got iis error (on windows 2008 r2 web edition and vista ultimate 64bit), naturally I had installed the report viewer redistributable 2008 in all system.

I can send you my module if you want.

Simone

Hi at all,
I resolved my problem, was only a corrupted install file of report viewer.

But now I get a new error: "Login failed for the user '' "

My structure is:

  • external module, with report.rdlc and relative dataset file;
  • report.rdlc copied in portals/portalId/reports folder;
  • the dataset will be compiled with the module dll.

What I wrong?

Thanks,
Simone
