hello everyone,

I'm using dnn 4.9, the issue i'm facing is that one of the main pages i wish to display in my portal menu is an external page. The idea is to keep the user from navigating outside my portal and having the same look and feel of the portal. In the external portal i can insert into the banner an html script. so what i did was to add an iframe of my portal with the banner and the menu displayed. The Problem is that when the user wishes to go back to a page in my portal, the menu link still opens in the frame instead of opening on top or in place of the current page.
Can anyone advise on this issue please. I believe this should be fixed somehow in the solpart menu script.

Thanks in advance.....

Don't expect it to be fixed in Solpart, that's a dead product.  And your problem is not related to DNN, it's the way frames work.  The best solution is not to use a frame, or, since you're using a frame, don't insert your own navigation into it.

Dear Jeff,

Thank you for your reply, but i do need to have the navigation in the frame. The site i'm referring to in my main menu requires authentication which is causing me problems since i was displaying it within an iframe (security issue related to iframes such as cookie creation and detection etc...). So my solution was to have the frame for the dnn site navigation instead of the referred to website.
I believe there should be a way to modify the target of the menu, but unfortunately i couldn't find where it's.

Hi Mazen,

I am not sure if that's what you are looking for. But try to make the target in your navigation links as (_parent). This should make the links load in the main window.

Hope that helps.

Please let me know if that works for you.

Mina

That's actually what i'm looking for but couldn't find how to do it. If you do know how to change the target of the navigation please do inform me.

Thank you.
