Logon as host (if you can, probably not) and use the File Manager to get to the files. I don't think this is possible in admin mode...

With most FTP software, you have the ability to specify a path. I'd ask your hoster to give you the path to your portal documents. The default is Portals/123, where 123 is your portal ID.

Summary:

To get your uploaded skin, its location depends, whether you installed them as admin or host.

  1. Host installed skins are placed in /portals/_default/skins, and you can use file manager from host menu, to easily get the files from root::skins.
  2. Admin installed skins are placed in /portals/<portalID>/skins, and you can use file manager from admin menu, to easily get the files from root::skins.

Sebastian  - I think this could be a problem - becuase by default, in the host settings, you can't upload htm or ascx files as far as I am aware.  I might be wrong but I have tried this before unsucessfully. And changing that setting for some hosters, they might think this is a security risk.
