I am getting the following error when a standard registered user tries to compose a new message.

You do not have access to view this module within the portal.

Admin is able to access with no problem.  Registered users are set to view module but not edit in the module settings.

I just checked permissions on one of my sites, and the module should have view AND edit permissions for registered users.

I reported an issue that "compose new message" shouldn't show up, if the user has no permission to create messages (currently bound to edit module permission, which should be replaced by a custom module permission "create messages" IMHO.

Hi,

I got that problem as well. I did create a custom permission and I'm still getting "Access denied".
right now I'm able to compose messages with administrators only !
is there something else I need to do after adding the module custom permission ?
how can I resolve this issue ?

Thanks for the help

This still appears to be a problem even with version 5.6.2. Any other setting we need?

Thanks
