I upgraded my test site clone from 5.2.2 to 5.4.2 and the Site Setting Login Page and Profile page remained as my custom pages.

However, on my live site, they changed to "Profile" (I presume the core profile stuff) which of course messed up my ability to log in and register users. I don't understand why the 2 identical sites upgraded differently, and why this setting was changed - anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks

There is a little more to this problem - I changed my Site Settings back to my original Login and Profile page.

I use the Oliver Hine Skin Objects which render it as a link, not a postback - but on my home page (pokerdiy.com) the Join for Free link is wrong now - http://www.pokerdiy.com/user-profile.aspx?returnurl=http%3a%2f%2fwww.pokerdiy.com%2f

I don't have a page called user-profile! However, when it shows this page and you then click on Join for Free it goes to the correct page (my custom sign up profile page) http://www.pokerdiy.com/edit-pokerdiy-profile.aspx

Any ideas why?

*EDIT* - I edited the new User PRofile page (bottom of page list) so that it was only visible to admins - now the home page Register link is pointing at the correct sign up page.  However , new users still timeout and the site runs terrible slowly - I'll have to roll back to 5.2.2 in the morning - can anyone help please?

Sorry, deleting the User Profile page has not fixed it - it seems to randomly try to go to the now none-existant User-Profile page (Site Settings definitely list the correct page for the profile as my Edit Profile page). Other times it picks up the correct page... Even when it does though it still timesout when creating a new user.
