I was in on some of the discussion around this and I know how hard you guys worked on this... Well done.

I've personally taken it a bit further than this by removing the extraneous references to font-families and font-sizes as I feel the font family can be set in the body (once) and custom fonts can be appended to the relevant selector thereafter. The reason I remove font-sizes is that, when working with the relative em unit, the default.css causes major headaches...

I think the important thing to remember is that what has been done here is the start of a leaner, more semantic, validating CSS framework for DNN. I'd encourage all skinners to take it further where and when you can.
