Hi,

I downloaded the Community Edition Install Package and uploaded it to my web hosting provider's server. It seems all the files were downloaded from the default.aspx file to the App_Data, App_Components folders, etcetera.

My question is, does the DotNetNuke Installation Wizard also comes in the package? How do I run it?

I know from my hosting provider that I do need to separately create the SQL Database through the provider web's control panel. Will the installer create the database if I specify the sql server? Or do I have to create it beforehand and then specify the existing 'blank' database on the dotnetnuke installation wizard?

What will happen to the database.mdf located under App_Data folder?

Please Advice...
Thank you in advance for your time.

Regards,
Marco Cesar Saenz

Marco, manually create the database and an account to be used by the application via the hosting panel. Next call your site, and the installation wizard will guide you through the installation steps (choose "custom" install option).
