I have read a few articles about deploying a dnn site from localhost to a production server. But they all assume that your aim is to move a complete installation. But if you only want to move one portal to an already existing prod server? Parent or child what are my options in that case? Even more if you only have rewritten some article what are my options then?

sorry, there is currently no staging support built into DNN for single portals or perts of it. there are modules which support workflow, like Text/HTML, if this helps.

Oh, that is a major drawback for the whole dnn system.  But having that said I really don’t know the drawbacks of other cms systems . But for dnn I wish there was some some kind of export/import function that address this.

I suggest, instead of using multiple installs, use a single site with workflow modules :)

Yes multiple installs should solve many problems but still, it’s sad that it is not possible to release dnn’s full power with portals because of migrating problems.  I will read more of Workflow modules to see if it is something for me.

Thank you for your answers.
