Hi, I did install DNN3.2.2 on a subdomain. cms.domainname.com and built all the site with the content. then i did manage the server to have the domain name it self mapped to the same folder that my DNN is installed at. i did add www.domainname.com to it the HTTPALiases. but i need the main domain to be the default one. coz its redirect me to the subdomain once i browse the main subdomain.... any solutions ????

I'm having a little trouble actually working out what your error is - similar to those trying to understand how the portal alisases work... But, it shouldn't really matter - well what I mean is you can change settings - simply log in as host to that portal.. then.. go to Host/Portals and click to edit the portal you want modify and add in the correct information and remove the settings you don't want, but be careful that your site actually has the a correct domain to work with otherwise any mistakes you make mean you have to log in via sql and change the portal alias table manually.

I think you might also need to check you don't have duplicate information in there.. that was also a long sub.sub.subdomain.com to use - normally you don't do this.

thanks nina, i solved that issue. it was a case in the hosting server. as the have a filter on IIS that enable me to map multible domains to same IP address and redirect each domain to deferent folder, but the asp.net code is detecting the actual domain name before the filter redirect it. so i changed the HTTPAlias to domainname\folder_name and it works now.
