Hello,

I just installed dotnetnuke on my local xp machine and i have some troubles to log in as host/host. The problem
probably comes from the web.config or the virtual directory setup. When i type the address http://localhost/dotnetnuke I get redirected to http://localhost/dotnetnuke/(2m21nhz3v2jgqc55xfja2m55)/Default.aspx. When i press on the login button nothing happens. Is this a normal behaviour ?

Any help is welcome

the odd GUID looking middle looks to be coming from cookieless sessions , please make sure you don't have this enabled, I don't believe that DNN has been tested with this scenario, so the URLrewriting would not work (note: we don't use sessions anyway, so this is somewhat redundant).
