i would like to require the same fields upon registration as are required when a user attempts to check out and is brought to the shipping and billing screen.
in the past i was able to do (i THINK) by going to "Manage Profile Properties" and checking the "required" and "visible" checkboxes AND going to User Settings and checking "Require a valid Profile for Registration".
however......
it USED to be....that when i went to the "Manage Profile Properties" screen, there would be a list of available fields like "City" "Region" "Country" etc but they are now gone. and that is what is causing all my problems. if i try to add them back manually ("create new") it will work for simple ones but not for ones that are drop-downs like "Region" and "Country" (why oh why does Country occur AFTER Region - and yet Region is dependent on Country??)

so my whole question is....how can i get that list of available fields to show up again under "Manage Profile Properties"?
