I would like to have a dynamic header at the very top of the page with the logo.  So to the right of the logo I would like a slide show that when each graphics is clicked it will take you to a different page.  The layout would be as follows:
    Logo (Home)                                   Slide show(clickable)
    Menu
    Breadcrumbs                                                              Date
    Content
    Footer

Any thoughts on how to do this for DNN 5.x?  All I have been able to find is the top header is static other than logo, and flash/jquery is below the menu.

Most sites use Flash for this purpose, it should be possible with Silverlight or JS as well, but you need to create your animated menu using any active technique clientside.

Sebastian, thank you for replying. Would the code be added to the .ascx file or could it be done with css and standards compliant.

The way I did this recently was simply to put a content container in the skin next to the logo.
I could then use a normal html module or a content rotator or whatever.

I did this similar to Ian and used a Javascript to rotate the images and provide links.  Got the script from DynamicDrive, though I modified it a little for my needs.  You should be able to find a Javascript/Jquery/Whatever script already written that suits your needs.
