Hello,

My Marketing department would like to synch their Events Calendar on our Intranet to their individual Outlook Calendars.  Is there an easy way to do this?  I know that a person can add it by clicking on each event and then adding it to their calendar this way, but they have hundreds of events and that would be too time consuming.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  We are using Outlook 2007 and the 05.00.03 version of Events for DNN.

Thanks,

Mark Gordon

AFAIK, there is no easy way to do this. The event export to desktop actually creates a standard .ICS calendar appointent file (which is essentially an XML structure) which can be read by Outlook.
I do not know if 2 appointments can be put in 1 .ics file and imported as 2 appointments. You could try this (export 2 different events, use notepad to combine the 2 .ics files into 1 and double click that 1 file to import the 2 appointments into Outlook.).
If that works, you can consider to create a report or query that would spit out a whole bunch of appointments as 1 .ics (xml text) file.

Hi Ernst,

Thank you for your reply.  Unfortunately, what you are proposing is way beyond me and my abilities.

Does anyone else know about this or if anything perhaps is in the works, or if there is a third party module that could do this?

Thanks,

Mark Gordon
