On your SQL Screenshot I see a issue on your Server setting.  You have set (local) that did not work!  You can user instead localhost whish goes to IP 127.0.0.0 or use the domain or servername where your Server is.  If you are using a SQLExpress instance or other instance name you have to set there i.e. localhost\SQLExpress.  This means domainname\Instance name.

As mentioned in my previous post, I made this change after you suggested it the first time. I specified the name of the server (RDOG) in the connection string instead of (local). See previous post for details.

If you add a Servername or domain name do it without () !  NOT (Servername)!  Do it as     Servername !

But before we go on.  What is the reason about you want to install with special Database access settings?  Special database setting with no SQL Administrator knowledge could be hard and frustraiting.

As I stated in my opening post, I am a module developer and want to verify my module works in the configuration where 'run as db owner' is unchecked. This is only for testing purposes.

Regarding the server name, I am not using the parenthesis. For clarification, here are my connection strings in web.config:

<add name="SiteSqlServer" connectionString="Data Source=RDOG;Initial Catalog=dnn5.5;User ID=dnnuser;Password=XXXXX" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />

...

<add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Data Source=RDOG;Initial Catalog=dnn5.5;User ID=dnnuser;Password=XXXXX" />
