Here's a link to a site I'm starting to create with DNN.  On the left side of the page is an HTML/text module with a bunch of links on it.  On the right is an iframe with my vb.net/asp website in it.  What I want to do is when the user comes to the log-in page, they can log in (using my custom program to get into our sql server for our customer usernames/passwords) and once they are logged in, then they should be able to click any link on the left side and (using querystring???) open the corresponding page on the right side in my custom program in the iframe.  Can someone explain a little bit about how I can use these links to interact with my custom program in the iframe?

Here is an article on "Dynamic Web Coding" that has some examples of interacting between a content page and its iFrame:

Here is one of its examples that shows the interaction:

As to passing querystrings, I have tried appending a content page's querystring (plus any other necessary querystrings) to the url that is being sent as the source of an iFrame.

So javascript, not querystrings, is the better way to go?  I've done javascript before, just not very much so i'd have to look into how to do it more, i'm confused after reading through the link that you stated.

Has anyone ever used querystrings for something like this or even know how they really work?
