Ok, I understand.  Maybe you can shed some light on what you mean by using a fully qualified name.  I'm not using any proxy server settings.  The proxy port is blank and the proxy port is set to -1 in the host settings.

I needed to update the LinksController.vb file with the 'System.' in front of the Net.WebProxy(DotNetNuke.Entities.Host.Host.ProxyServer, proxyPort) for the 6.0 release too.

Thanks to the fix Alexander!

I confirm this to. My website stopped working after this update 6.00.00.
Putting System in front did the trick...

This issue will be fixed in version 06.00.01 ... however it would be very useful, if issues would be placed in the issue tracker and NOT in th realese reviewes. thanks for that.
