Oh - and BTW - the DigArticle blog is exactly what I DO NOT want ours to look like. It's - to my eyes anyway - a jumbled up mess of gizmos, icons and graphics with little or no meaning content readily accessible. If that's consistent with the other blogs you suggest, we are defintely going to be asking our development firm for a full refund.

Mike - sorry. Figured out the links.

None of the examples impress me - sorry.  Three of sites are jumbled messes with the busy icons and content buried behind a confusing interface. The other sites don't appear to have any true "blogging" characteristics. Further - most of the examples are virtually dead. No comments or posts in 70+ days - even you own blog is a dead fish. In my opinion, that's a reflection on one of two possibilities: no commit to blogging, or an effort to blog (I found virtually NO comments on these sites) but teh interface is poor so nobody participates. In either event - we are passing on DigArticle, and I am hoping our developers here can figure out a way to intergrate WordPress.

I believe I had it right the first time. WordPress is a far more effective and useful blogging tool. I sincerely wish you could intergrate the WordPress blogging tool into DNN. I like the CMS available here. We are just getting started with the new version, and we like what we see so far. I am going to take a look at the basic blogging module and see if we can make that work. But DigArticle is a non-starter - in my opinion.

Thank you for you efforts and time in answering my questions.

Chris

I'd suggest taking a look at SpeedBlog.  It's available on Snowcovered for $99.

We implemented on our site corporate site about 6 weeks ago and have been very pleased with the product and support.  You can view how it looks here; http://www.mailpros.com/About-Us/Blog....

Hi Chris, You need to remove the [REMOVE] text in the links. Some people don't like direct links to their sites for SEO purposes, so I put those in there so the search engines won't pick them up. Did you try the "Blog" template? It's a little less noisy. Do you have a link to an example of what you are looking for? Thanks, Mike

Chris-

I think you will find, upon further experience with any CMS system, that it would prove to be a benefit to learn at least html and a little javascript.  This way you can use tools such as DigArticle to build something exactly the way you want it vs. relying on an outside designer/developer or relying on finding a product that happens to have skins/templates exactly the way you want them out of the box.  Once you have just a little knowledge of html you will see just how easy and fast it can be to build your own templates. And once that happens you will start to evaluate potential modules, be they blog modules or any other type of modules, based on abilities rather than looks.

I am curious as to what you would like your blog module to look like.  Do you have any links that you could share with us?
