New to DNN here.

We're planning on using DNN for our company's intranet. One request is that everyone have a public profile page where they can share information about themselves with everyone else in the company. Almost like a (hate to say it) MySpace-like profile page.

We're thinking that every employee would have a page where they could have a text/html module for information about themselves, maybe their own calendar module, announcements module, etc.

What we're trying to avoid is creating a new page for every user and granting them admin rights to this page.

Has anyone done anything like this before? Is there an elegant way to implement this solution?

Thanks in advance

if you only need a property based user profile with a defined list of items and one ore multiple rich text boxes, this will be included in DNN 3.3/4.1

If you need a custom page per user have a look at Smart-Thinker Homepage.
