very strange. I checked the sync code, the only action with a zip is creating a hash value, which requires reading the whole file. Did you make sure, you didn't exceed portal store size limit?

The portals are set to unlimited. I think there is a deeper problem here as the site I just put up with a fresh install of 5.6 also will now sync and show the larger files.

There was a mistake in my post above, my fresh install of 5.6 is NOT displaying the larger files in file manager. Sorry about that.

I just tested on my local DNN with 800 mb zip file - and no issues. It must be a problem on your installation.
